Disappering page on google

Have you ever had a page finally get indexed on google and all the sudden it disappears.

I had a page that finally got indexed for a niche keyword and it was in top listing and a couple hours later it was gone. Its not just not in the top listing, its not indexed anymore.

Anyone know what happened?

Google uses more than one database to power its searches.

So will it reappear or what happened for it to show up one minute and all the sudden disappear and not even show up when I type in an exact search phrase?

That's normal for a page first getting indexed.

It shows up on yahoo in the number 2 spot but hasnt come back to google on the 1 spot. Its gone for good.

Could maybe a competitor have sabatoged me and said I spammed to get up there? Which I didnt.

Will it show back up PPP?

Without knowing the specific, I'll just say it is common for a page that first gets indexed to drop out a couple days later, then reappear a couple days after that.

Anything could be possible though.
