Default Microsoft / Yahoo

Randy,
Now would be a good time to focus on Live search I guess? What are your thoughts, I need to learn to optimize on sites other than Google.

I am lost when it comes to Microsoft.

Thanks

For me, the same optimization that works well in Google also works well for MSN search now. But Yahoo's algorithm, on the other hand, is a lot tougher for me. I have noticed that some of my really high quality sites seem to do very well in Yahoo too, without any really specific "optimization" effort, if that makes sense.

Yahoo's 'algorithim' is so flakey, you never know what they want from month to month! MSN tends to be a bit spammy, but can pick up sites that Google likes also, if done correctly.

I haven't got a clue how to rank for anything on Live Search. I don't really care much though. Although I only look at G+Y, I do well in every other engine on Earth it seems but MSN who do not know or care that I exist. The site has been indexed since Day 1 but that's it.

From my experience, no specific instructions, optimize for google and you can see results in MSN and Yahoo

That's what I hear. That's not the case for me though and who the hell knows why. I'm not even getting results for kingcobrapoker.com which tells me I'm not even in the damn listings at all. I've read about a few other experiences around the net. Someone suggested checking Lycos and I'm on that no problem. I submitted another request for their bot to visit - I've done this maybe a couple other times since they started the Live Search and it didn't work then but I guess it can't hurt to do it again. I'm not too concerned about this engine but I used to do real well in the old MSN search 3-4 years ago and when they changed to Live I've never been able to get on it.

Same problem I have except I do care. I don't want to rely on one search engine. As of late, I hate seen an increase in yahoo traffic
for no apparent reason.

Well it's not that I totally don't care I suspect there's something about my site they don't like. However as Madonna once put it, I'm not changing my show
