This seems very odd, but over the past few weeks we've been on the front page of google for a certain groups of keyword (s) Well, we've normally been on the front page of google, we seem to randomly go up and down with huge swings.
About a week ago, i was looking around and was testing some keywords and found we were on the front page of google. Good. I check again the next day next day and we are no where to be found. A day later I check again and we're back on the front page with an even slightly higher ranking. Then a couple of days later we're gone again. I don't think this is the sandbox effect i've heard of, since our site has been around a fairly long time now and doesn't seem to go into 'hibernation' for a few months, but to randomly come and go.
It's very odd. I noticed someone had mentioned that there was oddball stuff going on at google that was affecting rankings. I find it odd that on one day you can be on the front page and then the next, be no where to be found and then a day later you're back on the front, where you were before.
Would anything cause this big of a swing in results of your individual site in such a short time?
