Goog Update ?!

thanks guys, I was just hoping to improve a few last minute things to get better visable(google toolbar) PR, to have better results for higher PR link exchange requests and things of that nature

on the bright side I have 3 whole months to improve and add to all aspects of my site to get a better visable PR, rather than making it a last minute thing

I am still in the process of getting more link backs, but currently have only been getting higher PR back links rather than the normal "link exchanges". Which I understand to be better anyways.

Yay, I was all scared and disappointed because I'm new and when we transferred Rakedrop the PR dropped to 0, and I was trying to get it back up with some good links and traffic. I thought I'd check the page and see a nasty empty toolbar ranking still. Went up to PR3, though, could be worse!

P.S. I was also scared and disappointed because I get really girly about everything, lol.

Thanks for the heads-up. My main site is showing an increase to PR5 on about half of the datacenters.

Mine too

I had a new one that has a ton of links and is still 0 everywhere. But I'm happy about my main site going to PR5.

My site only got a PR2 - I was kind of hoping for a PR3 - but still Pr2 not bad considering my site is only 2 months old. At least the hard work is paying off.

I was really looking forward to October, but can't help being a little disappointed with my PR still being 0.

My site is now 2 months old, and a zillion hours of development old. Another zillion ideas left, so I am not leaving, even though Google did not reward my site yet, not even with a PR1

I don't really see what is wrong with my site.

- I have user friendly URLS (ModRewrite)
- I have an XHTML sitemap, as well as a Google XML sitemap
- I have a crumbrtrail
- I have loads of content, and of course that keeps growing.
- I manage my outbound links (banners, text links etc.) with a robots.txt file
- I made my site XHTML Strict, and implemented some features dor disabled visitors (Zoom, Skip to content, etc.)
- I have my content headers and meta tags set

Perhaps the things to improve are:

- Quality inbound links?
- Dynamic meta descriptions and keywords? (All ready, but must still specify them in the database)
- Keyword research and better implementation?

Anyone?

Zilla, pokerforfree, your sites are fine, there is no need to do anything dramatic. As I said in my first post, Google chose simply not to show PR for sites that are new - I mean two months old or newer. Mikebrad says he has a 2 months old site and got PR3 - well, he must have been on the border line. I have site with 1000 backlinks in Google, 20000 in Yahoo/MSN and it's pr0 simply because it was first indexed late August. So don't worry - get just few more backlinks and with the solid site structures that you have I'm absolutely certain you'll have PR4 after next update.
