Goog Update ?!

I was hoping for a PR4 this update (currently PR2) but I guess not. Dont know what I did wrong. I did link exchanges, content update.......and so on.I would appreciate it if you could have a quick look at Stashpoker. com and let me know what I did wrong. Just if you have a spare second

Im not an authority so I bow to higher powers but I wouldn't worry about your link exchanges with other sites - they aren't too many on homepage

I would change all the aff links though - they're are loads IMHO this is what has stuck your site at PR2 and not moved up

We all did the same I'm sure - especially me

Your affiliate managers will undoubtedly tell you / ask you to put they're banners higher and here and there and want them to link straight through - but more than a couple and your losing out for your site

direct links may get you more clicks but less SERPS which means less hits in the first place

I would pick your max two key banners - PKR on left & virgin at top as direct links

even if you stick with the same amount of banners - direct the rest to you internal page best for that site - ie Review / comparision etc and then pick up the signups from there

do the same with the 10+ text links (make the underlined text either a link or not underlined)

+ I think some of the bigger guys would suggest you need some kind of SEO title on page near top

also check your tags & page on widexl.com - I find it really useful

it suggests your tags - title, descrip & keywords are too long

I wouldn't concern myself with the little green bar. A pagerank 4 site can easily outrank a pagerank 8 site. It's your keyword SERPs that matters. Focus more on getting your keywords to move up the rankings and don't waste your time watching the green bar. My pagerank 7 (non-poker) site just moved to a PR8. The site lost all its rankings. It only ranks for the site's name.

In looking at your site, I noticed that most of your pages are indexed as 'supplemental'. Probably because your site is powered by a CMS (i'm guessing Joomla?). When you add pages, try adding them as 'static' in the admin panel. It may be too late now, but you should have installed the Search Engine Friendly (SEF) module when you started the site.

thanks very much... great help... I cant wait untill I can help other people :-).

I am doing all the changes and lets see what happens. The only thing what I am having problems is is that it is ´Jomla. Where can you see that pageas are listed as supplemental? I doubt that I can add them as static.. but I will try. SEF was installed from the beginning on. So it should have a bit of an effect. Should I use an other one??

Anyhow... I hope you have a nice week... and more comments on making the sirte better are allways welcome..... Feel free to criticise !!!! :-)

epsilionflow, my google PR is only 4, but I rank at #2 for certain search terms. So I agree with scrawnybob and acekicker, work on getting your key terms ranking higher, not the little green bar.
