Spidering Private Forums

Someone asked me if google would spider their pages if their forum was set up as private.

Im guessing only their registration page would be indexed or other public pages. Iv never really thought about it but why would someone have a page private and expect it to be indexed. If it got indexed it would hardly remain private

It shows up as this. That was my first mistake creating my forum

So thats telling me, they do spider the pages. They just show up whats on the meta tags but still spider the content so the content is still used?
