i got dropped by server like a hot potato at around 8:50pm est...
cant relogin since...
funny thing is, this has been happening on occasion now and then in the past couple of months...curiously enough since the freemil promo went off...also, other weird stuff atypical of paradise like unresponsive customer support, esp overnite est time, etc etc...
is it maybe that u guys bit off a bit more than u could chew? lol
EDIT:
p.s.: pls dont misunderstand, guys, i love paradise. as everyone knows by now by heart, i only play online poker myself there and one other place and thats it. which is all the more why this kinda stuff worries me...

Paradise is down, and they are currently working on it...
Although I definitely didn't know it was happening on occassion... Good to know, i will let them know...
Re support - that is weird! They have always been the most responsive and set the standards... If you send somethign to them and they do nto respond, send it across to me, and I will look into it.

stephen,
if everyone at paradise including the game server was like u, there never would be any downtime or errors.
our man steve here rocks, as all fellow affiliates know...
but, yeah, lately when i email a quick one to support overnite est time, i dont get a reply anymore till the morning est...never happened in the past..
and the occasional server hiccups, general ones like the one now, and minor/partial ones here and there...
also, something u and i talked about already, the freemil heat database errors which allowed some to enter automatically multiple times for free and others like me not even once, etc etc...
thats why im thinking maybe this freemil thingy just taxed the resources out all around lol

I think it's my fault. I was doing pretty well, just got dealt an AK, was about to raise - then gone.
I was doing too well, so it had to go down :P

Whew, that was a pretty tight tournament. No one was giving anything away.

Speak for yourself I gave away $2000 in chips with QQ and got beat by 99 with a 9 on the flop. I think I pulled corpfan in for a grand also.
Anyhow I am just waiting patiently for the server to reboot and then I am gonna turn $1300 into a tournament championship. Regarding the first comment about Paradise support I have found them to be one of the better support teams out there. For example a few months ago I was hosting tournament and some dude was heckling me and saying some pretty bad stuff that was not true because I wouldn't give him the password. I emailed support and literally within 3 minutes his chat was disbled.
I imagine if they didn't get back to you for a day it was because your email was not urgent in nature. The issues with the servers have been happening to all of the major players lately, Party, FullTilt, Pokerstars.

ugh...im in the old country in europe now and its 3:30 in the effin morning and i have to work in a few hrs...lol
damn, and i had 4k in chippies some generous fishies left me...

i know jeremy...
thing is, i must be spoiled. in the past, anytime i emailed paradise for any reason, anywhere from extremely urgent to lah-de-dah, id get a reply on the dot within 15 mins or less. never failed...
since a month or so ago that started not being the case anymore...plus the other coupla hiccups i mentioned above etc etc..
but again, hey, i love 'em and im with 'em...
just a tad cranky as again im in friggin europe, its friggin 3:30am here, and i absolutely dont wanna give up on the 4k chips u fishies left me before the 'break'...
so im gonna wait, with eyes bloodshot, for this thing to reboot...grrrr!!
EDIT: oh wait, i know...u fishies knew i was in europe with the time difference and all, and since i started waxing ur a.sses early on, wanted to get rid of me this way, hoping i fall asleep on my keyboard here...hehehe...im a stubborn mule tho, and i have all the diet coke next to me. :P

Why in the world did the I-pods only pay the top 19 if it was cancelled?
Scam!

Hey Corpfan
The policy in Paradise when the servers go down for more than 30 minutes, is to pay all remaining Players, no matter how many remain. If it is a buy-in tournament, then you get the buy-in back, and a % of the prize money. Obviusly, there is no need to pay anyone who has alreday been knocked out.
These down-times are a killer for all - just have to always hope that they are minimal.
