Dedicated Server Suggestions

I used to use a simple hosting plan, out grew it and went bigger and I guess you can say I have been lucky enough now that it is time to move to a dedicated server.

I am looking for suggestions for a "starter" type dedicated server that I can move up as I hopefully continue to grow. Would like to stay around the $100 a month mark or less.

I have VERY minimum knowledge about servers so keep that in mind

Any recommendations from those who use one now?

Interested in suggestions also, looking for something with multiple IP addresses, on different blocks. . . Cpanel is a must, both for server and website management

I also recommend checking out http://www.insiderhosting.com/

I use them (shared hosting plan) and I know of other webmasters who have been with them for years. I never had down time since I joined them over a year agao, and the servers are fast. They offer shared hosting and semi-dedicated packages. However, if you absolutely need fully dedicated, they can set you up but you'll have to contact them directy. They don't have an actual package, but they do offer it on a case by case basis.

If anyone signs up via their hosting plans, take the time to search the web for inserhosting coupon codes. when I signed up, I used one that gave me 30% of my rate FOR LIFE! So my hosting is ultra cheap and the service and quality is top notch. They use Cpanel.

Their semi hosted plan @$100/month will probably cover what you need.
Semi dedicated - I think it means they use virtual servers so you have you have the flexibility of installign what ever you want, but share the hardware with others who also have virtual servers setup on the box.

I know Plesk inside out, haven't touched cPanel in years.
Be happy to help with anything I can, won't be much with cPanel though.

I bit the bullet & went from unlimited IP's at a previous host to a single IP, simply because everything else was too good to pass on.
Now they've loosened up a bit on their IP allotments (5 per), so it totally rocks now

They have REAL dedicateds for $100 too, no comparison to that VPN crap.
I don't want Joe Viagra anywhere on my network, let alone sharing hardware with'em
