FTP Programs

I took my FTP program for granted. You can have a bunch of servers/sites all open at once. Double clicking used to edit any file. If you saved the file in your editor, you could set it to auto upload, it was smartFTP, it rocked. It now sucks.

I upgraded to 3.0 which includes this idiotic transfer que, and irritation.. and well..

What's the closest thing to what I've described up there as far as FTP programs?

I'm not sure, but I've always liked CoreFTP. It's simple to use, free, and does the job well.

Ty guys I downloaded it, I'll have to see about figruing it out tomorrow .. don't suppose anyone wants to stop by, set it up.. errr.. yknow connect it to my editor.. yknow.. if ya happen to be in the neighborhood ...

Smart FTP is cool too, I use filezilla mostly though.

if you have cpanel, ftp is pretty much pointless in my opinion. just zip up site files and extract them in the folder you want using the file manager. Most of the time this takes less than one minute to have all your site files on your server.

That really sounds like the slow way to go about things imo, unless you're talking about tossing up a wordpress install or cms or something and then editing from the backend of that. To actually make real time eidts to a page.. that'd take forever.
