black screen in ie6

I have a site I'm working on that looks great in FF and IE7 but when viewed in ie6 it shows up as a black screen (the sites background color). I've messed with the background color and such and haven't been able to fix it. I don't want to post the url here but if you have had this problem before or want to take a look at the site please pm me. I will give whoever tells me how to fix it a pr2 internal page footer link. Thanks

Are you using a three column template and is the site completly black or is the third column showing up at the bottom instead of on the right? (set a different bg color to each of your columnm divs to confirm)
