Default Increased spam on Vbulletin forums

Anyone else noticing an increased amount of automated spam on their Vbulletin forums?

Someone must be selling a bot out there.

Shame no widespead IP banning group. A sort of free to sign up to service where if any member bans an IP for spamming, then that IP gets banned from registering a name at any other vbulletin site.

I suppose it would need quite a few safeguards though.

My Invision Board has been getting killed! I had to put it on Admin approve for all new accounts because I was getting 10 new spam accounts each day.

Does anyoen know what the deal with .cashette.com email address is. Are they spam or not? I seem to be getting rather a lot of signups lately with emails from that domain.

If you upgrade to the latest version of Vbulletin 3.64 it will probably help as there is increased user signup security with the "captcha" box. Still won't stop the sweatshop catcha monkeys but should stop a lot of the automated stuff for a while.
