Need help using one of Alances/Kundan's templates

Hope this is the correct place to put this request and hope that someone out there can give me some guidance.

In the past I have always created my sites using Frontpage. I've always been impressed with Alance & Kundan's work so I decided to get a template from them.

While it looks great I have found that I can't use it in the same way that Frontpage uses a template as a .dwt file.

The "template" is really the homepage of my site. With frontpage if I added a new page to my site and wanted a link to it from all of my pages I would just add it to the template, save it and update all the pages automatically.

With my newly purchased template this does not seem possible. I looked to convert it to a frontpage template but frontpage won't let me because there are no editable regions and I can't easily add them in. My problem is now that my site has grown to over 100 pages, if I add a new page in, I really don't want to edit 100 pages. I liked the auto update that frontpage did for me.

I know that many of you have sites much larger than mine, how do you handle the adding of links/buttons etc... to the pages of your sites using one of Alance and Kundan's custom templates?

It would really suck if this template is completely useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you wil need to save your page as a .dwt file than edit it just like you normally would.

If your still having rtroubles with it than you can send me your files and I will create it for you. I am using expression web which is similar but can make your dwt. Should only take about 10 mins and I can have it back to you.

Bit late but anyways...

I have two seperate files, one for the homepage and one as a general template. This is because my homepage has lots of little boxes and so I need a slightly different style template to add content to a main box in the middle. So thats how I use the design as a dwt, you can find see what I mean on my site.

Also, I have another template from alance that was coded into php, which works great. So all the navigation is in seperate files which updates all of the pages if I update one link. I think this is what you are looking for, and alance can do it for you for a small charge.

You may also look at converting your site template to a CMS.. that's what I did and I'll never go back.. I use to use frontpage also...
