Hey Ramchip
'Quality poker articles' can vary..
For a poker review, I charge about $50-$75 that's upwards of 1500 words on average.
A general poker strategy article, or something simple to look up online etc - $25-$45 avg 500-750 words
Poker News, short and sweet 200-500 words - about $20
If I have to use my telephone, that's .12 per word.
I usually give repeat customers a break, I always give bulk customers a break, so the prices obviously vary. Sounds like you're in a position to get a pretty good deal.
Your going to sell the articles if I read that right? That can be a pain, finding a team that understand deadlines, basic seo, and grammar can be tricky.
I started out doing my own editing, we have a couple editors now, great business if you're dedicated. We work with a pretty select group of great ppl, it can be a lot of fun. . . but when they're ticked off, or their order is late.. or a writer has a power outage, a sick kid, an 'it's not really my problem' moment, that's all your problem . . . sooo it has its moments as well
I study SEO for the gambling industry and have been doing this a couple years. I have a gambling website in Google news, and am page 4 or less for most of the rooms I promote, my site is still totally in infancy though. My prices can be considered on the higher end of things.. If you're hiring guys brand new.. you're getting new voices, new ideas (probably worth more than the content itself), and they should be less expensive.. (did that sound politically correct for 'I am full of myself?'

)
I've seen content for as low as $7 per article, though I don't recall there being a lot of 'quality' involved, and the articles weren't really 'offered' for more than a week. I've seen great deals from decent writers at $15 for a poker review (and cringed at the amount of work they put into that low wage :P) . The average seems to be about $25 for about 500 words.
mftpg Ty ty for the compliment
