Our first attempt using YouTube to drive traffic

Yesterday afternoon we put up our first video on youtube to see if we could drive some traffic to our online poker dealing school.

Anyone had a lot of success using youtube videos to drive traffic? I think it turned out pretty good. Hopefully we'll see some traffic from it.

thanks for the feedback everyone. The video editing software was a package my business partner picked up at Best Buy... I believe it is called "Las Vegas Studio " for around $100 or so. Much better than the free version offered by microsoft.

As of right now, it hasn't driven much traffic to the site but we did get 3 sales yesterday which ties our biggest day so far.

Tube is good for these mini commercials. Just be sure and leave your credits in the film. I just flushed out my account there after 102,500 views in 7 months. Poker video spoof sites are starting to emerage using the you tube code and where placing my videos in to false user accounts claming the credit for my work

How did this go? I notice your video has over 26,000 views. Did you end up getting any traffic from this?

yes, absolutely. The video ranks great now itself (http://www.google.com/search?q=poker...ient=firefox-a) and the course is still selling at a reasonable pace even being a few years old now.

Honestly we should do more of this stuff with some of the new techniques on youtube (like the link just to the right of the video on youtube itself).

I've tried using YouTube for various marketing ventures in the past and mostly only had limited luck. It seems hit and miss. Looks like you happened to use the right keywords in the right niche.
