Building on the cultural phenomenon in the US that is ‘fantasy football’ the online gaming giant bwin.com has launched their own fantasy league with a European twist. Now players can log into the site and create teams with a dollar sign attached to them. Much like how leagues and drafts are conducted for American fantasy leagues, Bwin is allowing players to create teams and watch their real life counterparts score their way to the bank.

“This is a major extension of our market,” said Tobias Nissen, Business Development Director for Jadestone.

“Betting and gambling operators have a large audience of avid sports fans so it is a natural evolution for us to provide this type of fully managed fantasy games to that market. Naturally, we are thrilled to take this important step with Bwin, a true market leader and a long-time valued partner”.

Currently the European Manager opens up four parallel leagues, England’s Premier League, Italy’s La Liga, Spain’s Serie A and Germany’s Bundesliga, and is available in seven languages including English, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Polish and Portuguese.
